Connect with Authors
We host literary dinners and book discussions that are small and intimate in scope. We feature acclaimed authors as well as lesser-known authors of distinctive merit. We believe Dallas is an international city and invite authors from all nationalities and backgrounds to our events.
Rediscover Classic Novels
We organize small groups to discuss “classic” novels. When we read Melville, Morrison, Shelley, Austen, Ondaatje, or Naipaul, we enter the world of a master of slow, deep, meaningful thinking. Their books represent monumental achievements of human thought in their insight and scope. We believe that the classics are continuously relevant in the present cultural climate.
Travel
In order for our members to experience and engage with literary places, we organize trips to literary cities both in the US and abroad.
